Kearney Fall Bulky Trash Pickup Runs Oct. 5–8 |
Residents can set eligible large household items at the curb on their regular trash day |

Kearney’s Fall Bulky Trash Pick-Up Week runs Monday, Oct. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 8, giving residential utility customers a no-extra-charge option for getting rid of eligible large household items.
Residents should place items at the curb on their normally scheduled trash day during the collection week.
|
The pickup is especially timely after Kearney’s citywide garage sale, giving households a way to clear out larger unwanted items that did not sell.
Because bulky-item rules can vary by material, residents should review the City of Kearney or Redgate Disposal guidance before setting items out.
|
Items should be placed so collection crews can safely reach them without blocking sidewalks, streets or driveways.

Four cubic yards is more than I expected. The accepted-item list is worth checking before cleanup day.
I appreciate having the dates all in one place. Oct. 5, 8 will be here fast.
The timing after the garage sale makes sense. Hopefully people check the rules before setting everything at the curb.
This is a good reminder. It’s easy to forget the pickup has to be on your regular trash day.
